Adam G. Wasch is one of the founders and a partner of the firm. Mr. Wasch focuses his practice on three areas: franchise law, complex business litigation and counseling startups.
Mr. Wasch represents both franchisors and franchisees who are in dispute, which makes up the majority of his litigation practice. Mr. Wasch regualarly defends and prosecutes franchise law claims on behalf of his franchisee and franchisor clients in state court, federal court and arbitration. Mr. Wasch was named as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in the Franchising/Distribution category in 2016 and 2017, and he was named as a Legal Elite Up & Comer. Mr. Wasch is an active member of the ABA Forum on Franchising.
Franchise litigation makes up a good portion of Mr. Wasch’s practice but he also serves as lead trial counsel for non-franchise businesses of all sizes in a variety of industries. Mr. Wasch has served as lead trial counsel in trademark disputes involving the Lanham Act, breach of contract actions, Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act violations, Florida Franchise Misrepresentation Act, Florida Sale of Business Opportunities Act, civil theft claims, and more. Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Wasch was a litigator at one of Florida’s largest law firms.
Mr. Wasch provides general counsel services to established franchisors and franchisees in a variety of industries including fast food, quick serve restaurants, health and wellness, retail, pet industry, and more. Mr. Wasch regularly reviews franchise disclosure documents (FDDs) for his clients, prepares FDDs for startup franchises looking to expand their businesses through franchising through the firm and his company Franchise Formations LLC, and reviews commercial leases for franchisors and franchisees all on a flat or capped fee basis.
Mr. Wasch serves as fractional general counsel to startup companies. Mr. Wasch serves on the management team of startup businesses and provides his clients with relevant governance and structural issues on an as-needed basis. Mr. Wasch is an entrepreneur who understands entrepreneurs and what they need to succeed.
Before his legal career, Mr. Wasch worked in the front office of two Minor League Baseball teams. In law school, Mr. Wasch served as the managing editor of the FIU Law Review and founded the school’s Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Mr. Wasch has his real estate license, and he is a lifelong resident of Boca Raton.
