Adam G. Wasch is one of the founders and a partner of the firm. Adam’s practice is focused on franchise law, complex business litigation and advising startup companies.
Adam is a franchise lawyer and regularly represents both franchisors and franchisees. Adam was named in “Hired! 20 of the Keenest Legal Minds in Global Franchising” by Global Franchise Magazine along with pioneers of the franchise law bar. Adam has been named as a Legal Elite Up & Comer and a Super Lawyer Rising Star in the Franchising category. Adam is an active member of the ABA Forum on Franchising.
Adam provides general counsel and litigation services to his established and startup franchise clients in a variety of industries including fast food, quick service restaurants, health and wellness, retail, pet care, real estate, and more. Adam litigates on behalf of franchisees in federal court, state court and arbitration and regularly assists franchisees in their due diligence of franchise systems by reviewing Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs), Franchise Agreements and commercial leases.
Adam has counseled dozens of domestic and international companies looking to expand through franchising. Adam drafts FDDs for startup franchise systems and provides an inclusive package to his clients that will allow them to sell franchises. Once the franchise system is ready to launch, Adam provides general counsel services such as routinely updating the FDD, assisting with franchisee closings, handling dispute resolution, etc.
Adam and his team rolled out the 3 Natives Acai & Juice Bar franchise system and continues to serve that company as general counsel. Adam and his team are currently working with multiple other startup and emerging franchisors.
Adam litigates trademark disputes involving the Lanham Act, breach of contract actions, Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act violations, Florida Franchise Misrepresentation Act, Florida Sale of Business Opportunities Act, civil theft claims, and more. Prior to founding the firm, Adam was a litigator at one of Florida’s largest litigation defense firms.
Adam serves on the management team of startup businesses and provides his clients with relevant governance and structural issues on an as-needed basis. Adam is an entrepreneur, and he understands entrepreneurs and what they need to succeed.
Before his legal career, Adam graduated from the University of Florida with a business degree and proceeded to work in the front office of three Minor League Baseball teams in Savannah, New Orleans and Colorado Springs. In law school, Adam was the managing editor of the FIU Law Review and founded the school’s Sports and Entertainment Law Society (SELS). To keep his hand in the sports industry, he serves as general counsel to a startup Front Office Sports, LLC, which is a multi-media platform that has become a leader in the sports business industry.
Adam grew up in Boca Raton and lives in Boca Raton with his wife and their three boys Sam, Charlie and Alex.
